Collective-iz: Now and Here* 

This event brings together seven artists who work within the field of Expanded Cinema, featuring a new 16mm film performance by artist filmmaker Nicky Hamlyn. Consciously working outside the conventional cinematic space, these selected works explore the materiality of film and video, utilise new technologies and investigate the relationship between the screen and the audience.  The programme includes film, video, multi projection, and performance, and is presented by the recently formed filmmakers collective: Collective-iz. The event will conclude with a Q&A with Nicky Hamlyn.

* The title is taken from Malcom le Grice's 1972 essay called 'Real TIME/SPACE’.
