Poetry by Vincent Katz and Barry Schwabsky

Vincent Katz is the author of nine books of poetry, including Alcuni Telefonini, a collaboration with Francesco Clemente, 20008), Rapid Departures (2005), Understanding Objects (2000), and Cabal of Zealots (1988). He won the 2005 National Translation Award, given by the American Literary Translators Association, for his book of translations from Latin, The Complete Elegies of Sextus Propertius, published by Princeton University Press. He was awarded a Rome Prize Fellowship in Literature at the American Academy in Rome for 2001-2002. He lives in New York where he is the editor of the poetry and arts journal VANITAS and of Libellum books.
Barry Schwabsky is an American poet living in London. His poetry publications include Opera: Poems 1981-2002 (2003), Book Left Open in the Rain (2009), and 12 Abandoned Poems (2010), as well as several chapbooks and collaborations with visual artists including Jessica Stockholder and Katharina Grosse, and he formerly ran the poetry series at Parasol Unit. He is art critic for The Nation and co-editor of international reviews for Artforum.
Katz and Schwabsky will present their adept and formally inventive poetry, including new work they have been writing in collaboration.
