GROT
New works from Eden Chau, Stevie Dix, Motoko Ishibashi, Patrick Jones, James Lincoln, Louis Morlet and Thom Trojanowski.
The exhibition is framed by the Grotesque. Although it is now most commonly used to describe something that is disgusting and horrifying, it used to have a greater range. Previously understood to describe the spectrum between humour and terror, the Grotesque exists in the spaces between the comic and the frightening, inhabiting the cracks created by distortion of the natural into something other.
Curated by artist James Lincoln.
