Les Biologistes Marins

Les Biologistes Marins (IT/UK) explores the intersection of sound and water narratives through hydrophone contact mics, fluid sound layers and video material.

Doors: 7pm

Through ambient music and sound perception, they explore the theme of care, believing it is central to human relationship with water, both as subject and medium.

What began as improvisations inspired by water-source videos quickly evolved into a multidisciplinary research, examining their relationship with water and the meditative, dream-like state unique to improvisation.
Their aim is to relinquish self-consciousness through an intimate reflection on fluidity, capturing this research in sound.
Long-evolving sessions of improvisation with acoustic instruments (flute, percussion, synth, etc.) and water manipulation have been crucial to the development of their first album 'If places were sounds' (Jipo Records), which they're currently touring in Europe and the UK.
