A fundraising event for the Horse Hospital

On the 50th anniversary of the death of the poet (26.10.1888 – 4.1.1965)

With Stephen Dillane

In collaboration with Katie Mitchell and Vicki Mortimer

Published in four parts between 1936 and 1942, T.S Eliot’s philosophical poem is one of the very greatest of the twentieth century, and his undisputed masterpiece.

It is being presented just metres from the site of the original offices of independent publishers Faber & Faber, where Eliot worked for four decades (1925-65).

Stephen Dillane is an actor, with a career in theatre, film and television.

Katie Mitchell is a theatre director. Recent productions include 2071 (Royal Court), The Cherry Orchard (Young Vic) and The Way Back Home (Young Vic).

Vicki Mortimer is a set and costume designer, and has designed numerous productions for the National Theatre, as well as for opera and dance.
