ELECTRIC BRAIN An exhibition of work by CARL HOARE Exhibition runs 27th February to 25th March Exhibition open 12 til 6pm, Monday through Saturday The Horse Hospital presents the first major solo exhibition of the work of painter, Carl Hoare. Hailed as a truly impressive, complex modern art by Sketch Magazine and an innovative, thought-provoking body of work by New Art, Hoares surreal, iconographic paintings make manifest the decadence and complacency of modern society through a confrontation with past savageries, connecting the past and the present through a stream of iconic, damning images. Referencing George Grosz, Otto Dix, Francis Bacon and the Chapman brothers, Hoare emerges with the conclusion that while time and technology may move on, human nature will always remain the same.
