Pandora Vaughan presents her new body of work, Total Non-Stop Action!
Private View: Wednesday 30th November 6-9pm
Exhibition continues until Thursday 21st December
We are delighted to show recent work from UK/ Canadian artist Pandora Vaughan. Her banners, video works, drawings and photos range across a spatially and temporally fragmented landscape. Vaughan leads us to intimately invented spaces where constructed games visit the broken asides of localised urbanity, banners that imagine coping devices for psychically ruinous problems of the everyday, and provocative explorations into mid-century futuristic optimism. Fusing theories of sensory aesthetics, assemblage and mechanisation with cartography and protest, when viewed against a numbing background of pandemics, financial crises and climate change, Vaughan’s works provide a joyfully absurd response to our current collective trauma. She suggests new and hybrid modes of resistance and resilience that recall futures past.
