Porscha Present is an artist with a deep heart soaked in beautiful, melancholy chords. They have explored both immersive theatre and music scenes. Porscha Is a vocalist, pianist and performance artist, healing as they go. They fuel their performance holistically, carefully using the energy they feel to carry them through different moments; they love to play with clown-like and grotesque characters that push boundaries and address the ego.

Porscha will be talking about how they use breath work as an anchor for vocal and movement flow to link the physical to the spiritual body. Assessing what the subconscious wants to communicate. Grounding through the root, connecting and serving through ancestral ties. There will be moments for people to participate in some of the practice.

This event is presented as the 10th instalment of Light Source, an ongoing 12-part program of talks over 12 months exploring Witch Hunts and Ritual Performance. Light Source is hosted by artist Amy Kingsmill and funded by Arts Council England.

Light Source brings light to lost histories of persecuted people- primarily women, and honours them. It explores and expands the use of body performance techniques and contextualises them within the practice of queer people and women, creating a space to share these techniques & histories.
